Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and wife of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi welcomed the bail given to Lalu Prasad by the Supreme Court and said on Friday that she had faith in the law and believed the charges put against him will be taken back.
"I have faith in the Supreme Court and the law. If the court has granted him a bail, I believe they will soon take back the charges put against him," Rabri said.
RJD leader Ram Krishna Yadav said Lalu was a victim of conspiracy and had the right to appeal for a bail.
"He is a victim of conspiracy and has been falsely accused. I am sure the whole nation is happy about him getting a bail," said Yadav.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Krishna Yadav said if the Supreme Court has given the decision it must be according to law.
BJP leader Ram Jethmalani said the granting of bail to Lalu was not a very big deal "It is not a big deal. Every criminal has a right to appeal for a bail," he said.

Lalu moved the apex court challenging the order of the Jharkhand High Court, which had dismissed his bail plea.
Lalu Prasad Yadav and another former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra and 43 others were on September 30, convicted by a special CBI court in the fodder scam case involving fraudulent withdrawal of 37.7 crore rupees from Chaibasa Treasury during the RJD regime.
He had been disqualified from the Lok Sabha after being convicted in the case and banned from contesting elections for six years.
The fodder scam also known as "Chara Ghotala" involved the siphoning of funds from the Bihar Government treasury. The alleged theft spanned over several years, and many Bihar state government administrative and elected officials across multiple administrations were allegedly engaged in it.
The fodder scam was unearthed in Bihar in 1996 when Lalu was chief minister.
