Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday visited the Embassy of Nepal here to express his support and solidarity for the the people of that quake-hit country.
"I wanted to come express my support for the people of Nepal. Have already been co-coordinating some help, but reassured the ambassador that if they need any help, they should let us know," Rahul Gandhi said after his visit.
The Congress vice president also left a message in the visitor's diary at the embassy.
"Over the last week, the world has watched in horror as the true scale of the tragedy in Nepal unfolded before us. Some wounds will never heal, but as Nepal begins the hard task of rebuilding each broken life and broken building, the people of India stand with you in strength and solidarity," wrote Gandhi.
The death toll caused by the devastating earthquake and aftershocks in Nepal has reached 6,110.
