Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party said on Friday, was going to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) for a "photo opportunity" and to politicise the issue further.

"Problem with Rahul Gandhi is that he has to do politics and his capacity to engage BJP on a constructive public debate; he is unable to do that. But he still has to remain in politic. And therefore, he lives on photo op politics," BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh told ANI.

"And, therefore, he is going to FTII because it is not something that he wants to raise it, but he wants to have a photo op and by going there, on somebody else's cause, he will then get a photo op and then he'll remain in the public domain. So that's all Rahul Gandhi has been doing, and that is all his style of doing politics," he added.

Meanwhile, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet the students of the FTII today, who have been on strike for over 50 days over their demand for cancelling actor Chauhan's appointment as FTII chairman.

According to reports, some students had approached Rahul Gandhi to intervene in the matter.
