Responding to Congress Party Vice President Rahul Gandhi's recent tweet on the ongoing counting of demonetised currency, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said that it highlights his 'immaturity'.

"Rahul Gandhi's recent tweet is perhaps the most eloquent, self-certification of the level of maturity and view on politics; this coming from the Vice President of a political party that governed the nation for six decades. He is taking serious national conflicts very lightly," BJP leader Nalin Kohli told ANI.

BJP leader Sudesh Verma said that the 'hilarious' Rahul Gandhi is not seen as a serious politician.

"Politics requires some amount of humour I suppose. Such is the nature of the tweets. I think Rahul Gandhi is hilarious. He is politically immature," he said.

The Gandhi scion has been drawing flak from the politicos as he took to twitter to mock Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that it is still counting the demonetised notes deposited in the banks.

"GOI looking for a Math tutor. Please apply to PMO ASAP (sic)," he tweeted.

The sardonic remark emanated after RBI Governor Urjit Patel told a parliamentary panel on Wednesday that it could not provide an accurate amount of scrapped notes received by the banks, as it was still counting the Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes.

The members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Finance raised concerns over unavailability of the amount of currency returned after Patel had promised in January to provide the exact figure before his next appearance.

On January 18, Patel made his first appearance where he sought exemptions twice.

He was accompanied by RBI Deputy Governors S S Mundra, N S Vishwanathan and B P Kanungo.
