Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government for failing to fulfill its poll promises of bringing back black money and ensuring 'acche din' for all.

"Do you remember Prime Minister said 'good days will come soon', and also that he will bring back black money? It's been 100 days; I want to ask you, did you even get one rupee in your bank accounts? They say 'acche din' have come, 10-15 ministers who don't even know how to handle a broom are sweeping and getting photographed," Rahul said at an election rally here.

The Congress vice president also held forth on the ideological differences between his party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

"I will tell you the difference between our ideology and BJP's ideology. Our thinking is that the people of the country have power and knowledge. We brought the RTI Bill to empower you. We brought the Land Acquisition Bill so that the poor of the nation will get the right price for their land. And on the other hand, we have the Prime Minister who says give me all the power," he said.

Rahul also criticized the government's flagship 'Adarsh Gram Yojana', saying the scheme focuses only on some 650-700 villages out of the 6.5 lakh villages in the country.

"They came up with 'Adarsh Gram Yojana' and did not even allocate one rupee to carry out that scheme. There are around 6.5 lakh villages in India and they talk about only 650-700 villages. What about the other villages?" he asked.

The third phase of the five-phased assembly elections in Jharkhand is to be held on December 9, with the results of the polling scheduled to be declared on December 23.
