The film fraternity including Tamil actor Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan on Tuesday condoled the passing away of veteran Telugu filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao, while saying that his demise is a huge loss to the Indian film industry.
Expressing grief over filmmaker's death, Rajinikanth took to his twitter handle and said, "Shri Dasari Narayana Raoji, my dearest and closest well-wisher and friend. One of the greatest directors of India. His demise is a loss to the whole Indian film industry. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul RIP (sic),"
Kamal Haasan also expressed his heartfelt condolence over Rao's death and said that the latter's demise is a 'big loss for Telugu cinema.'
"My sympathy and condolences to the family of Daasari Naryana Rao. His loss is truly a big loss for Telugu cinema. Late K.B. sir admired him," Haasan said in a tweet.
Rao passed away on Tuesday at the age of 75. He was admitted in Hyderabad's KIMS Hospital.
The director, who has given some of the best films that Telugu industry has seen, had been unwell for quite some time.
