Advocates in Rajkot were seen wielding brooms on Friday to clean the court premises in the wake of 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2.

More than 300 advocates joined the cleanliness campaign to clean the court premises.

Rajkot Bar Council president Piyush Shah said that this will be done twice a week.

"It is a nice feeling that we have joined in the drive. It will be a continuous process and not a onetime activity, we will do it twice a week," said Shah

"We have joined in the campaign launched by the Prime Minister to make India clean and so we have done this work by taking the broom in the hand," said Dilip Patel, a member of the Rajkot Bar council.

The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was launched nationwide to focus on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.
