Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh on Wednesday flagged off a consignment of relief material and the first instalment of funds collected by the party for flood survivors in Uttarakhand.
The BJP president flagged off eight trucks, each carrying relief materials for Uttarakhand, including food, water, clothes, and Rs 58 lakh, collected by the Uttar Pradesh unit of the BJP.
Rajnath Singh, who arrived here on a two-day visit today for the first time after taking over as BJP chief earlier this year, was greeted at the party headquarters.
