Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Rajnath Singh, on Sunday asked people to vote not only to form a government but also to form the country.
Addressing charted accountants, company secretaries and people from different NGOs in Lucknow, Singh reiterated that country wanted a change, which only the BJP can bring.
"The country wants a change. Every place that I am visiting in the country, I am appealing and asking people for votes not to form a government but to form a country," Singh said.
Slamming ruling Congress party over lack of good governance, Singh added it did not formulate policies that could result in development of the country.
"For more than 55 years, political parties have formed governments but could not give good governance. India does not feature in the list of world's economic power forget about being recognised as a super economic power despite being so rich in natural resources as well as human resources," Singh said.
