Veteran journalist and political analyst Ved Pratap Vaidik's meeting with 26/11 terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Lahore almost a fortnight ago continued to rock proceedings in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, and forced Chairman and Vice President Hamid Ansari to adjourn till noon.
The Upper House was earlier adjourned for 15 minutes over the same issue at the start of proceedings.
There was an uproar over the issue in the Rajya Sabha soon after the house met on Monday, forcing its adjournment twice.
Though the government clarified that it had nothing to do with it, Congress members, including Anand Sharma on Monday continued to insist on the statement saying the matter is related to the security concerns of the country.
Vaidik has openly accepted that he met Saeed in Lahore, and criticized the Congress for unnecessarily giving it a political twist to put Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in the dock.
He said that he is ready to share all the records of his meetings in Pakistan.
