Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Ram Madhav on Thursday trashed reports about his party leaders meeting the National Conference (NC) leadership on the issue of government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
"News about BJP leaders meeting NC leadership in Delhi baseless," he tweeted.
It was earlier reported that former Jammu and Kashmir chief Omar Abdullah met BJP chief Amit Shah and Ram Madhav in the national capital thereby increasing speculations of forging new alliance post the assembly elections in the state.
Earlier on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir gave a highly-fractured verdict in which the PDP emerged as the single largest party throwing up different possibilities in government formation.
The National Conference (NC) suffered a defeat as it secured only 15 seats against 28 that it had won in the last elections.
