Tribals have taken to the streets in Ranchi, calling for a 12-hour shut down in the state over a demand for the government to address issues related to tribals.
Tribal protester Prem Sahi Munda said the government has not done anything in the last 13 years to address their issues.
"We are on the streets demanding the state government including parties like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress party to form a committee and apply local policy," said Munda.
The protesters asked the government to give preference to the local population in government and private jobs.
Some supporters damaged many vehicles in the city.
