After the Allahabad High Court cancelled the bail of rape accused Gayatri Prajapati, the family of the former Uttar Pradesh minister approached Governor Ram Naik, adding they would also go to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi if need be.
"We have submitted the application as we didn't get the chance to meet the Governor. An assurance is given to us that the Governor will surely see our application and will respond to this. We want the Governor to listen to us as my father is being implicated in a fake case. We want justice from the Chief Minister, from the Governor. We will again go to the Janata Darbar and will request the Chief Minister for justice. We have expectations from here but if this also not works, then we will go to meet the Prime Minister seeking justice," Prajapati's daughter told ANI.
However, the family was not able to meet the Governor.
Prajapati's wife and his two daughters said that they earlier went to the Janata Darbar to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, but were not able to meet him.
The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court had stayed the bail given to Prajapati in a rape case by a local court.
Prajapati was arrested on March 15 from the Aashiyana area in Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF).
