Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a 25 million-pound bid to land David De Gea and make the Manchester United goalkeeper their new long-term number one.
Spain keeper Iker Casillas is under mounting pressure and Real want to bring in a successor with De Gea reportedly in their sights, The Mirror reported.
Media reports in Spain have revealed that Real would move for the stopper as De Gea's contract at United expires in 2016.
De Gea was seen as a big gamble when he joined United but has been one of their most consistent and best performers. United would be desperate to keep their goalkeeper but Real believe that they might be able to lure De Gea back to Spain next summer.
Real president Florentino Perez is still in the early stages of drawing up plans for next season, but it is revealing that De Gea's name is out there as it may be seen as a tactic to stop him signing a new deal, the report added.
