Reddit, the online message board known for its users' unrestrained posts, is going to restrict people from posting naked photos and sex videos from March 10 onwards if they do not have the permission from the people being depicted in them.
According to PCWorld, the move comes under the revised privacy policy that will be into effect from the next month.
Under the new ban, affected people can write an email to the company on contact@reddit.com to remove the offensive photos or videos.
Reddit has a following of nearly 160 million users who can express themselves with various degrees of anonymity to communicate about any topic.
The move by Reddit comes in the wake of last years' hacking into the iCloud accounts of celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton following which their naked pictures were posted to Reddit.
