'Resurrected' Johnson says Oz not going to 'let off' short-ball attack in Adelaide Test

Resurrected Australian pace star Mitchell Johnson has said that he will continue to use the short-ball attack, which brutalized England in Australia's thumping 381-run win at the first Test in Gabba, in the second Ashes Test in Adelaide.

Johnson successfully attacked England with relentless short-ball deliveries, claiming nine wickets and batting well to be named Man of the Match in their 381-run Gabba win.

According to News.com.au, Johnson said that he will continue to use the short-ball at right times in the series, starting with Alice Springs, adding that they wanted to get England early in the series and let them know that they are not going to 'stuff around' in Australia.

Stating that there are no friends out in the field, Johnson further said that England did not like Australia's methods in the first Test and will find a way to combat them, although he added that they will have to keep on driving hard in an expected a lower, slower drop-in wicket at the Adelaide Oval.

While England queried the umpires in Brisbane about Australia's constant use of the short ball, Johnson claimed they would not be doing anything differently this time around, saying that they would use that delivery on certain England batsmen in whom they have seen a weakness against the short ball.
