English business and investor Sir Richard Branson reportedly rescued four-time Olympic champion Sir Ben Ainslie and wife Georgie Thompson, while they were on their honeymoon.
The couple, who were sailing around Branson's Necker Island, got into trouble when their boat developed a problem with the sail and then the Englishman came to their rescue.
Branson wrote in his blog that seeing as Ainslie is one of the greatest sailors of all time, what they didn't expect to see was his boat getting into trouble, the BBC reported.
Branson's staff helped with rescuing the Olympic champion. Branson revealed that a problem with the furling system on the main sail was the cause of Ainslie's problems.
TV presenter Thompson later tweeted her thanks.
The entrepreneur added that with no harm done, Ainslie was able to see the funny side as after all, stranger things have happened at sea. He added that they are now hosting him and Thompson on the island for a few days.
The couple got married at Hampton Court Palace last month and had been holidaying near to Necker Island, part of the British Virgin Islands and owned by Branson, when Ainslie radioed for help, the report added.
