French tennis star Richard Gasquet has been ruled out of next month's Rio Olympics due to a back injury.

Confirming the news, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) said that the world number 14 would be replaced by Benoit Paire for the Summer Games, Sport24 reported.

It was for the second time that Gasquet had withdrawn from the Olympics. He had earlier missed the games in Beijing in 2008.
