The International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Dave Richardson has insisted that the revival of stalled India-Pakistan series will help boost the charm of the Test cricket around the world.

Richardson labelled the mouth-watering India-Pakistan series as 'greatest rivalry', adding that an iconic series between the two sub-continental rivals would generate an enormous amount of publicity for the game, the Express Tribune reported.

Regarding the tainted trio of Mohammad Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, Richardson said these players were declared fit by the Tribunal to make their return to domestic and international cricket.

The former South African wicketkeeper-batsman added that the PCB would get ICC's full support in their efforts to help the disgraced trio to rebuild their reputation and maintain the integrity of the game.

The trio were found guilty of various offences of corrupt behavior relating to the Lord's Test between England and Pakistan in 2010 and will be eligible for an international return in 2016 after undergoing a new PCB rehab programme.
