EastEnders actress Rita Simons has reportedly revealed that she has quit drinking, after getting fed up with excess consumption and coping with hangovers.
The 36-year old self-confessed former party girl admitted that for many years the lines between herself and her character Roxy Mitchell in the soap opera, who spends most of her time behind a bar, were blurred, but she has transformed now, the Mirror reported.
She added that she has "really changed" and has stopped drinking, except for an occasional glass of wine, as she doesn't like to be "out of control".
Simons confessed that she hasn't drunk to excess for a year and seven months, and has taken up meditation, yoga and is "addicted to clean living".
