River Ramganga in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad District is presently flowing above the danger mark and flood alert has also been issued by the district administration.

Gupta Eye Institute in charge Mrs.Khurana told ANI, "The water has gathered in front of one gate of the hospital. If it rises five to six inches more, then we will have to shut down our services. As of now, just one gate is functional out of the two."

According to reports, in 2010 the government had promised to built a dam here, but nothing has been done till now. Responding to this she said, "If the dam is built here, it will be beneficial not just for the hospital but for the whole colony. We request the government to look into the matter."

Reports said water level in Ganga in Uttarakhand went up dramatically after the region received heavy rainfall in the last three days.
