Over five persons were killed and six others injured on Saturday after the vehicle ferrying them collided with a truck in Dhanbad in Jharkhand.
Yesterday, three persons were killed and seven others injured in an accident after a high-tension wire fell on a bus in Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh.
Many casualties are feared as the bus carrying around 60 members of a marriage party, caught fire.
Police confirmed that investigation is on for more details regarding the accident.
District collector, M. Sibi Chakraborty, said it was a very serious accident but more details on the number of dead or injured are awaited.
"The bus was carrying members of a marriage party but unfortunately after a high-tension wire fell on the bus, the bus caught fire. Three people are dead and seven others have been injured. Now a thorough investigation will be carried out and also enquiry will be conducted to verify the whereabouts of the dead and the injured and also if any criminal angle is involved, it will be verified. I will be supervising this accident. This is a very serious and deadly accident," said Chakraborty.
