Rolling Stones have been forced to cut out 'naughty' songs like 'Brown Sugar' and 'Honky Tonk Woman' from their Chinese show setlist due to government censorship.

Before the gig in Shanghai, frontman Mick Jagger said that his band had to submit the lyrics to the songs to censorship chiefs, which is customary for visiting western acts, Contactmusic reported.

The veteran musician also told fans that 'Honky Tonk Women' had been "vetoed" by the Chinese authorities and they would play 'Dead Flowers' and 'Street Fighting Man' instead.
