At least 27 people were killed and 180 injured after a fire broke out in a night club in Bucharest, Romania.
The incident occurred when over 400 people were celebrating Halloween at the 'Colectiv' nightclub.
A metal band 'Goodbye to Gravity' was performing at the club when a spark on stage ignited the polystyrene decor, reported the Fox News.
According to one of the victims, there was total chaos after the fire broke out.
People started fainting due to the smoke and a stampede broke out as people trampled each other to get out of the club.
This tragedy could have been avoided if more and proper emergency services were provided, the victim added.
Raed Arafat, a government health ministry official said that those who have been injured were treated mainly for burns, smoke inhalation and lesions at various hospitals around the capital.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis stated that "he was shaken and deeply hurt by the tragic event.
"It is a very sad moment for us all, for our nation and for me personally," the President added.
