Star striker Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice as Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 4-1 at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos on Wednesday night to move within a point of securing the league La Liga title.
Ronaldo put Madrid ahead in the 10th minute of the game with his 367th goal in one of Europe's top-five leagues, eclipsing the mark set by former England striker Jimmy Greaves in 1971.
The 31-year-old striker then scored in a second just after half-time to make the lead 2-0.
John Guidetti gave 10-man Celta hope in the 69th minute but Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos sealed the win for Real, meaning they only need to draw at Malaga in their final game of the season to lift their 33rd LaLiga title, reports goal.com.
Real will now face Malaga on Sunday while they would face Juventus in Champions League final the next Sunday.
