Cristiano Ronaldo scored his third consecutive hat-trick as Portugal registered a 3-2 win against Armenia at Yerevan in the Euro 2016 qualifying Group I.
The star footballer extended his goals tally to 26 in the European Championship.
Marcos Pizzelli's brilliant 30-yard free-kick gave Armenia a surprise lead but Ronaldo equalised from the spot before half-time and the Real Madrid superstar then struck twice in three minutes before the hour mark to put Portugal in control in Yerevan, the BBC reported
However, Portugal still had to toil hard for the victory as they lost Tiago to a red card in the 62nd minute before seeing Armenia pull a goal back 11 minutes later.
Ronaldo had previously scored hat-tricks for Real Madrid against Espanyol and Getafe in the last two games of the La Liga.
He has scored a total of 66 goals in all competitions for club and country this season.
The win has moved Portugal five points clear of their nearest challengers Denmark and Albania at the top of their group.
