Ruby Chaudhary, who stayed at Mussoorie's Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration illegally by posing as an IAS trainee, was on Saturday sent to 14 days judicial custody by a local court here.
Chaudhary, who hails from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, had gained entry to the prestigious IAS training academy in Mussoorie by using a fake I-card. She had stayed at LBSNAA for over six months before mysteriously disappearing on March 27 after the staff at the institute become suspicious about her and began asking questions.
Chaudhary was arrested yesterday under Sections 420 (cheating, dishonesty), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the IPC.
Chaudhary has reportedly accused LBSNAA's Deputy Director Saurabh Jain of issuing her a fake ID card to facilitate her stay at the academy and taking bribe of Rs. five lakhs to get her a job.
