Minister of State (MoS) for Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Saturday rubbished Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge's allegation of silencing opposition's voice in the Parliament, saying the people of this country have already silenced their voice through their mandate.

"Public has silent the voice of opposition through giving their mandate in elections. Now, they are having trouble with microphones, this is an issue with the Speaker. ..... The people of this country do not want to listen to the voice of the Congress .....," Rudy told mediapersons here while reacting to Leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge's allegations of switching off microphones in the House.

Earlier on Thursday, Kharge reportedly staged a walk-out alleging that microphones of opposition members were being switched off to edit their comments against the government.

"When we try to put forth issues before the House, the mike turns off... This shows that there is little time to know our view... I don't wish to talk much about it... there could be mechanical defect," Kharge had said.
