Keeping safety is an integral part of modern society be it in the transaction of credit, safe delivery of goods or protection of passengers - the Japanese firms keep safety as priority.
JCB, a credit card company secures customer's transaction.
Daisuke Yoshida, Vice president of Brand Infrastructure and Technologies Department, JCB CO LTD said, "Credit card was originally plastic with embossed numbers. And it provided high security because it was very difficult to make embossed number. Then it became insufficient and We implemented magnetic tape. Then again it became insufficient due to technology advance. Next step was IC chip which is the latest technology. It is made
by expensive equipment only in the high-security factory so it's very hard to forge."
While using the card, the customer needs to make identity confirmation by entering personal identification number. It's more secure than handwriting signature.
Then authorization process goes on between shops and JCB to check if the card is stolen or used fraudulently.On internet transaction, usually, only your card number and security code are required and there is no identity confirmation.

So JCB added the new procedure of entering password called J/Secure. The password is sent safely to JCB. Yoshida added, "Our policy is to take pre-emptive action by using cutting-edge technology for customer's security. After taking a measure for security we offer more convenient and new shopping experience such as mobile payment and so on."
Courier company Yamato Transport Corporation held the "National Safety Tournament" at Suzuka Circuit Traffic Education Center.
The aim was to improve the knowledge for safe driving and driving skills as a professional driver, legal knowledge, and practice safety awareness for the zero traffic accidents.

Out of the total 60,000 sales drivers, 5,000 people participated to the qualifying tournament from 70 branch offices across the country, 32 representatives drivers were selected to the competition.

At the peak of rush, there is a risk of many people surging into the train and the movable doors. In order to withstand that pressure, we have to develop strong doors. And it was difficult to make
strong doors by using glass. But finally, we could make it after much trial and error."
Tokyo's railway keeps providing public safety.
