And it's a sweep for Sam Rockwell.

After winning every Supporting Actor Award in every possible award ceremony this year, Rockwell just made his unforgettable run in Hollywood even more special as he took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor at the 90th Annual Academy Awards for his work in 'Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri'.

The actor dedicated his award to legendary veteran actor Philip Seymour Hoffman and gave a shout-out to him by saying, " This is for my old buddy, Phil Hoffman."

Rockwell continued his acceptance speech by saying, " I'd like to thank the Academy - never thought I'd say those words!" he said. He also thanked his costars, the "formidable" Frances McDormand and "fantastic" Woody Harrelson, as well as recognizing his fellow nominees in the category. "You guys rock, you inspire me, and you always have."

He then told a charming story about the love of movies that his parents instilled in him.

"When I was eight years old I was called into the principal's office and my father was looking very solemn and he said, 'We gotta go, it's grandma.' When we got in the car, I said, 'What's wrong with grandma?' and he said, 'Nothing, we're going to the movies.' My mom and dad's love of movies became my love of movies," noted Rockwell.
