Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Naresh Agarwal on Monday said either the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the Aam Aadmi Party should take on the responsibility of governing in the national capital, and fullfill their promises to the people of the city.

"We just want that they (BJP or AAP) should at least come forward and fullfill the promises which were made by them. People will be sad if the promises are not fullfilled and they will feel betrayed. I will say that either Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) should take responsibility of Delhi." said Agarwal.

Shiv Sena lawmaker Sanjay Raut said all political parties needed to pick up lessons from the victory of the Aam Aadmi Party.

"I will say that the way Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also emerged as a winner, although they got few seats. Not only the Congress party and Bharatiya Janata Party, even Shiv Sena should take a lesson and understand why people are not voting for us," said Raut.

Going by current reactions and statements, there is a likelihood of President's rule being imposed in Delhi, as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is reluctant to form a minority government, and does not seem keen to horse trade.

The BJP won 31 of the 70 seats, while the AAP got 28. Both have refused to consider the option of a post-poll alliance.
