West Indies captain Darren Sammy has poured scorn on young Australian all-rounder James Faulkner by saying that 'talk is cheap, which he added, his team proved that by virtually knocking Australia out of the World Twenty20 tournament.

After the West Indies successfully chased down the target of 179 set by Australia on Friday by six wickets, Chris Gayle reprised his Gangnam Style dance moves he used when West Indies become T20 world champions in Sri Lanka two years ago.

According to News.com.au, Sammy, who added to the party atmosphere by flinging his bat high in the air, rubbed Faulkner's nose in the dust in response to the all-rounder comment in the days leading into the clash that he did not like the Caribbean team and was planning to get under their skin.

Sammy, who killed two consecutive sixes off Faulkner to spark the madcap celebrations, poured scorn on Faulkner, saying that talk is cheap as cricket is a game of action, adding that it felt good to bring that action home.

Stating that they played with flair and passion, Sammy also said that their celebrations were not pre-planned and just came out as it always feels good for their team to beat Australia.

Although Sammy said that he was not bothered when Faulkner bowled the last over, he however, admitted that he felt better after the victory especially as Faulkner was talking a lot before the game, adding that they handled pressure better than Australia.
