Samsung is reportedly said to take down some of its apps developed for the Android platform following pressure from Google to keep its OS purer.
The two companies were said to be forming agreements that would bring Samsung's view of Android in line with Google's own, which means the South Korean giant would have to either change or remove its new Magazine UX interface that sits on top of Android.
According to Cnet, the move would also require Samsung to highlight Google's apps for movies, music, and other services on its recently introduced Galaxy Note pro tablet, instead of publishing its own.
Samsung said that it tries to give users a great experience and many options, so it offers services from Google, carrier providers, and Samsung itself.
The company statement further stated that to continue delivering great user experiences and bringing greater value to people's lives, Samsung would continue to identify and provide differentiated and innovative service and content offerings on its mobile devices.
The report said that it is unclear why Samsung would make a big shift from its strategy of focusing on own software and services.
