Former Pakistani off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has said that batsmen do not have the kind of strategy they earlier had to face spin bowling, which has contributed to the spinners success at the World Twenty20 tournament.

Mushtaq, who is a spin consultant for the West Indies team, said that the tactics are changing adding that he feels the mentality of spinners has changed and they are getting help from pitches in Bangladesh.

According to Sport24, the 'doosra' inventor also said that the short format of cricket is now more balanced as both the pacers and spinners are finding success with the ball.

Mushtaq said that it is up to the batting coaches to think and try to bring in something to counter spinners, as they are getting wickets accompanied by pacers like Bhuvaneshwar Kumar of India, Umar Gul of Pakistan and Krishmar Santokie of the West Indies who are doing well in the World T20 at Bangladesh.

The West Indies face Pakistan in the last game of Group 2 on Tuesday to decide who will be the second qualifier behind unbeaten India, the report added.
