Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi on Tuesday termed the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on a school in Pakistan as 'enemies of Allah', calling the act itself a 'heinous crime'.
"The terrorists who have committed this heinous crime are the enemies of humanity. They are the enemies of Allah, they are the enemies of society and they are the enemies of Islam. I pray that somewhere in their hearts, their conscience awakens," Satyarthi said at a public meeting here.
"I pray that God gives the families of the victims the courage and fortitude to bear their irreparable loss," he added.
The winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize was reacting to the ongoing attack on Peshawar's Army Public School by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has reportedly led to the death of 130 people, including at least 100 students.
Satyarthi further stated that he would gladly forsake his own life if it meant sparing the lives of the innocent students.
"I would rather they capture or kill me than kill innocent children," he said.
