The Supreme Court today took the visitor's book submitted by lawyer and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan into its custody and asked Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Ranjit Sinha to respond to the allegations made by the former.
Bhushan had alleged that Sinha had been meeting people linked to the accused in the 2G scam case at his residence, including Hawala operator and Kanpur-based meat exporter Moin Akhtar Qureshi.
Sinha, however, denied the presence of any such visitors' diary at his residence.
Sinha refused to answer any questions over the allegations while leaving from his residence this morning.
The allegations against Sinha have resulted in calls by political parties for his resignation.
Sinha is reported to have met Qureshi at least ninety times in the last 15 months. Qureshi is being investigated by the income tax department for alleged tax evasion.

Earlier on Friday, Sinha had filed a case of perjury against the NGO Centre for Public Interest Litigation (CPIL), for making false allegations against him.
Petitioner Kamini Jaiswal, appearing for CPIL, had filed two affidavits against Sinha over interference in the Aircel-Marxis deal, a branch spurting out of the investigation in the 2G spectrum allocation scam and coal block allocations.
