The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the petition of former Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) president N Srinivisan seeking a modification of its May 16 order.
An apex court bench comprising Justices B S Chauhan and A K Sikri said it is unable to modify the order of another bench and has instead asked Srinivasan to approach the bench that delivered the May 16 order.
Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) Secretary Aditya Verma said, "Yesterday, Srinivasan had filed a plea before the Supreme Court asking for a modification of its May 16 order. He had also claimed that he is an elected president of the BCCI and asked the court to let him work as member of the BCCI."
"He had also said that he will not interfere with the IPL spot fixing investigation. The apex court has told him approach the bench that delivered the May 16 order," he added.
On March 28, the apex court had removed Srinivasan as the BCCI President and had placed Former Indian Captain Sunil Gavaskar as the interim head of the cricketing body and will manage activities related to IPL only.
Meanwhile, the court has also allowed Sundar Raman to continue as the Chief Operating Officer of the IPL, as the seventh season has already begun.
