Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong'o are in negotiations to star in Disney's adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling tale 'Jungle Book', it has been revealed.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the live-action/CG hybrid movie directed by Jon Favreau, has already confirmed 'The Wire' fame Idris Elba for the voice of the villain 'Shere Khan', but is yet to announce name for the lead character 'Mowgli'.
While the '12 Years A Slave' star, Nyong'o, is in final talks to play Rakcha, the mother wolf who takes Mowgli in, Johansson is in earlier stages of talks to voice the character of Kaa, the python who eats by hypnotizing other animals.
The film, which is produced by Favreau along with Brigham Taylor, is estimated to release in 2015.
