Scotland to spend 6 million pounds to find next Andy Murray

Wimbledon champion Andy Murray's home country of Scotland will spend almost 6 million pounds to modernize the nation's tennis facilities, hoping to capitalize on the success of the winner.

According to The Scotsman, Sport Scotland, an agency of the Scottish Government will invest over 5.8 million pounds over the next four years to help encourage a new generation of players to take up the game.

The report said that people in charge of the sport in Scotland have hoped Murray's success on Centre Court at Wimbledon on Sunday will inspire more youngsters to pick up a racquet.

Sport Scotland's chief executive, Stewart Harris said that Andy's Wimbledon victory was a defining moment for Scottish sport, and they were working collectively to capitalize on his incredible success.
