Lee Garlington said that they got together a year after their first encounter and they tried really hard to keep their relationship covert to avoid a potential scandal, People Magazine reported.
They would sneak out on time after every rendezvous and they went to move premieres together, but each brought a female date, he further added.
However, the relationship dissolved after three years and Garlington never found out the depths of Hudson's feelings for him until the publication of the star's posthumously published autobiography hit stores.
