At least five Kurdistan Workers' Party or the PKK terrorists were killed during a gunfight with security forces in southeastern Hakkari province on Wednesday.
The four were women out of the five terrorists killed in the operation.
The regional governor's office in a statement said, "The clash took place in the Serabatin area in the Semdinli district of the province."
During the operation a machine gun, rocket launcher RPG-11 and six Kalashnikovs were seized, the statement further said.
The Kurdistan Workers' Party or the PKK is listed as a terrorist organisation by Turkey.
Earlier this month, at least seven PKK terrorists were killed in the airstrikes by the Turkish forces in the country's southeastern and eastern provinces.
In the recent past, the clashes between the security forces and the PKK terrorists have intensified, in which more than 1,200 people, including members of security forces and civilians, have lost their lives.
