A joint operation of the army and state police resulted in the recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the Sopore district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The police and 27 Rashtriya Rifles of the army busted a militant hideout in Baramullah district.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Garib Das said that a search operation was underway to nab the militants.
"We searched a large area and busted a militant hideout. We recovered many items, including six rifles: two AK-47s and four AK-56s. Three pistols and three Underbarrel Grenade Launchers, (UBGL) and ammunitions and defence materials were also recovered," he said.
