A United States senator has warned that Pakistan must not be given millions of dollars in aid when it is a well known fact that Islamabad is a reliable partner for terrorists and not the United States.
Senator Dana Rohrabacher said giving Pakistan millions in aid on grounds that it needs it to counter terrorism would have a reverse outcome.
Senator Rohrabacher was quoted by the Voice of America's Afghanistan unit, as saying that Washington is not bothered about Islamabad's feelings on the issue of drone strikes on the latter's soil, as it is convinced that Pakistan is providing safe havens for terrorists who are taking the lives of thousands of people and innocent Afghans.
Senator Rohrabacher described the Taliban as a terrorist organization and insisted that their leaders and leaders of all other terrorist organizations should be targeted by the United States wherever they are based.
Rohrabacher said that the United States should support a courageous military individual to fight the menace of terror and sustain a non-radical Islamic government in Afghanistan.
He also felt that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the Taliban are attempting to establish influence and power in Afghanistan, which has landed the latter in a crisis.
