The final day of Amazon India Couture Week saw a lot of sparkle - both literally and figuratively; what with the star studded fashion shows, Bollywood divas as showstoppers and Manav Gangwani's show "Le' Amoureuse" (the beloved).
Attended by hotshots like Raveena Tandon, Sophie Chaudhary and the dashing Neil Nitin Mukesh, Gangwani's show was about the sultry and the sensuous women; women who are bold and unapologetically themselves. The designer manages to show his love for the floral and the idea of romance with his extensive motifs of butterfly, nature and flowers.
Gangwani said "Butterflies are romance, magic and beauty, everything that I wanted my collection to be. That's why the motif has been used on many outfits".
Outfits showcased ranged from pantsuits, dresses and cocktail gowns to saree gowns, and embroidered jackets for men. All the ensembles complemented contours of the people wearing them.
The fabrics used were some of the most trending ones during the entire Couture Week: sheer tulle, georgettes, organza and laces. All of the pieces were worked on with heavy sequins, lace work, embroideries.
Swarovski elements were used to add glamour and glitz to the outfits which ranged from bold and chic colors such as magenta, peachy coral, gunmetal grey, silver to sensuous purple.
