US tennis sensation Serena Williams has said that she will enjoy herself and have fun in the fight for her second French Open title so that she can close down a 11-year gap.

According to the Guardian, the younger Williams sister had won the French Open crown 11 years ago, adding that after a dominant year that included winning the titles in Madrid and Rome on clay in the past month, anything other than another title a fortnight tomorrow would go down as a surprise.

Recalling her near-perfect past year, Williams, who reportedly appeared calm, content and happy, expressed confidence on winning a second French Open crown, adding that she had played like she had nothing to lose in the past year, which she wants to continue in her journey in the French Open.

According to Williams, she used to take a lot of stress and focus only on winning in the past, which took out her enjoyment of the game, adding that she is enjoying and having now, which has made a big difference in her performance.

The former World No.1 further said that although she wants to win a successive French Open title, she is not pressurized about it as she believes that anything can happen during her journey towards the crown.

The report further said that Williams' suspected relationship with Patrick Mouratoglou, a former coach of Laura Robson, may be the key factor behind her new, unstressed attitude as after adding the Frenchman in her coaching team, Williams has won Wimbledon, the Olympics, the US Open, the season-ending WTA Championships and, at 31, regained her world No1 ranking.
