President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday appointed seven Additional Judges for the Allahabad High Court.
The President appointed Mukhtar Ahamad, Amar Singh Chauhan, Shamsher Bahadur Singh, Vinod Kumar Misra, Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Raghvendra Kumar and Pratyush Kumar, in accordance with the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India.
The appointment in the case of Judge Shamsher Bahadur Singh will be with effect from the date of assumption of charge till February 14, 2017, and Judge Pramod Kumar Srivastava with effect from assumption of charge till January 28, 2017.
The tenure of the remaining judges be of two years, with effect from the date they assume charge of their offices.
