At least seven police men, who were deployed for the security of polio vaccination officials in Pakistan's Orangi Town, were killed in two separate attacks on Wednesday.
Unidentified gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire on a police vehicle killing all four policemen, reports Dawn.
The policemen died on the spot.
The gunmen immediately after the attack opened fired on three other policemen, who were also on duty in the area.
The three policemen succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or deaths of polio workers.
Following the attack, the anti-polio campaign in the area was suspended immediately and the area has been cordoned off by the law enforcement agencies.
