At least seven people including senior police officers were killed and several others injured after a bomb exploded near to the Punjab Assembly in Lahore during a protest on Monday.
The injured were sent to the Ganga Ram medical center and other nearby hospitals, reports Geo News.
A large number of people had gathered to protest the drug rules of the provincial government near the Punjab Assembly building.
Large numbers of police personnel were deployed following the explosion.
The explosion was so powerful that it caused window panes of media vans and police mobiles parked nearby to shatter.
