A seven-year-old girl has been allegedly raped by her neighbour in Shivaji Nagar area of Mumbai.
Police said the accused, identified as Imran Shamim Khan, 21, has been arrested for the rape that took place a week ago.
According to police, the parents lodged a complaint with the police on Friday after they were told about the incident. Khan was subsequently arrested from his residence.
Khan has been booked for rape, criminal intimidation and under sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
