Prominent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders who were protesting here against a court's decision to send their party chief Arvind Kejriwal to the Tihar Jail in connection with a defamation case have been detained by the Delhi Police .
Leaders like Manish Sisodia, Jarnail Singh, Sanjay Singh, Yogendra Yadav were seen protesting outside the Tihar Jail.
AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia alleged that this was an example of authoritarianism.
"This is total authoritarianism. Is this is what good days mean?" he said.
Another AAP leader, Sanjay Singh echoed similar views and charged the police of exercising total hooliganism as he narrated how they were dragged and beat up AAP workers and not only that even going to the extent of misbehaving with the women workers.
Earlier, Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody for two days by a court.

Kejriwal has refused to furnish a bail bond in connection with a criminal defamation complaint filed by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari.
The court had on February 28 summoned Kejriwal as an accused in the criminal defamation complaint observing that statements allegedly made by the AAP leader have the effect of "harming the reputation" of the complainant.
The summons was issued against Kejriwal on a complaint in which BJP leader Nitin Gadkari had alleged that he was defamed by Kejriwal, who had included his name in the party's list of "India's most corrupt".
